Editorial policy
Rural Travel Stories aims to make rural journeys easier to understand and more rewarding to notice. Our editorial work values accuracy, clear context and independence; a vivid story is no excuse to blur what is known.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable material available to us and take care with names, descriptions and the distinction between fact and interpretation. Travel details can change, and a piece may not reflect current opening arrangements or local conditions. Where those details matter, readers should confirm them before setting out.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers and the subject, not to secure a commercial outcome. A partnership does not buy favourable editorial treatment, and we do not present a commercial relationship as independent reporting.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, they can send the page title and the passage in question through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when warranted. We do not claim that every statement is beyond error.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and other partner material are labelled clearly so readers can distinguish them from editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, the illustration is identified as AI-generated.
