Write for us
We welcome pitches for original stories about rural travel: the route that changes how a day unfolds, the detail that helps explain a village, or a thoughtful choice about where and how to stay. Contributions should give readers a clear subject and a reason to care, without turning a place into a checklist.
What makes a strong pitch
Start with the central idea, the intended reader and what the piece will help them understand or decide. Explain what makes the subject distinctive and how you would handle it. A focused proposal is easier to consider than a broad promise to write about the countryside.
Useful, grounded writing
We value specific detail, readable structure and careful distinctions between established information, personal interpretation and suggestion. Avoid unsupported claims, promotional copy and material that depends on readers treating one person's experience as universal. If a subject depends on changing local arrangements, say so.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send your pitch, including a working title and a short summary. You may also mention the intended format and any relevant experience with the subject, but no credentials are required. Please send proposals rather than completed work unless we have requested a draft.
